There is no better time to be a pharmacy technician than today. There are no other requirements yet to be a pharmacy technician other than your high school diploma or its equivalent. When a pharmacy technician is already employed in an institution that needs their services, they can now undergo on-the-job training under the supervision of a pharmacist. However, more States and companies are beginning to require people to have pharmacy technician certification first before they’re hired to work. Soon enough, all States will have legislation requiring that all incoming pharmacy technicians be formally trained and certified first before being hired in entry-level positions.
