I need to burn a CD for a friend who wants to be able to play the music in all sorts of speaker systems. What type of file should I use? .wav, .mp3 or something else? If something else, any recommended programs?

the boom box doesnt receive any better signal then the other brands.
I have a Sony Receiver and it works great! I set it next to any stereo or boombox!
Best thing is it doesnt over heat like a lot of the boom boxes that you have to insert the receiver into.

Yes. Older CD players were designed to play pre-recorded CDs. I have an older one like that, and it won’t play CD-Rs or CD-RWs.
